For a single heater, any brand transformer with the following specifications will work: 24 VAC – 20VA (minimum). Each heater requires 20VA, so if you're using two heaters, the transformer should be 40VA. For five heaters, you'll need a 100VA transformer, and so on.
We provide a 24V – 40VA transformer with each heater. TSR units are 120V and come with a built-in DC transformer in the wall plug.

Yes. Are Sunpak Heaters offered in both Natural Gas and Propane.
Sunpak heaters are mounted up and out of the way. There are advantages to clearing the floor area for more tables, chairs and standing areas when heaters are mounted above. Mounting above also allows for easier piping of gas, wiring, etc.
If your location is near water, we recommend the stainless steel versions of Sunpak heaters. Powder coated black painted offers some level of corrosion resistance however stainless steel is not only visually appealing but also highly resistant to corrosion.

A typical S34 Sunpak patio heater will cover up to a 10 x 10 ft area. For a 20 x 30 ft patio, six heaters would be needed. Sunpak heaters heat with infrared heat, heating people and objects, so it's important to place the heaters within the areas that people will be standing or sitting.
